DiSCOVER backcountry sessions
Join Ellis Brigham and Blair Aitken from British Backcountry for a DiSCOVER BACKCOUNTRY indoor session at the SnowDome, Tamworth on 10th November to become more familiar with touring and the equipment used.
During the session Blair will give you tips and techniques that will help you master skinning (including kick turns); learn the theory of terrain choice and avalanche awareness; practice transceiver searches; and he will coach you on your downhill ski performance.

Prerequisites:
You will need to be confident skiing the main slope, and ideally a hard red run on-resort. If you have not skied for a while it is recommended that you try and visit the centre prior to booking onto the course.
Equipment:
If you have your own ski touring equipment please bring it. Touring skis and skins can be provided, we must know your ski boot sole length size at the time of booking (enter your details at the time of booking when prompted) if you need to borrow skis. Avalanche safety equipment will be supplied.
Price:
£74 (plus booking fee) per person including ski touring and avalanche equipment, coaching and lift pass, maximum 10 in a group.
