The SnowDome's journey so far has been an incredible one, find out more about the SnowDome's roots and story.
The venue first opened its doors in 1994, the original building featured the 170m slope and was co-owned by the local council who ran the swimming pool and leisure facilities.
In 2000 the venue became privately owned as members of the SnowDome's management team purchased the business.
Although part of the original build plans, the ice skating rink didn't open until 2002. Since then it has been one of the most popular attractions at the venue.
In 2005 Santa Claus came to town and his real snow family adventure has been wowing guests since.
The venues swimming pool and fitness facilities were purchased by SnowDome Group Ltd. in 2007.
The directors opened the UK's only ice skating track and the first dedicated children's snow fun park in 2007.
In 2018 the family climbing wall attraction opened. Meaning guests could reach dizzy new heights at the venue.
In the summer of 2018 the current board of directors added three new members from the SnowDome's senior leadership team.
In 2019 the SnowDome became the longest running indoor snow slope in the world. A party for the ages was held!
In early 2020, a new and extended slope was opened underneath the original 170m slope. The additional slope meant an improved learning and recreational experience for guests.
