Plan the perfect festive family day
Christmas is fast approaching, but there’s no need to panic!
We’re here with a few hints and tips to help get your family Christmas off to a great start! It’s all about spending some quality time together, having loads of fun and making happy memories.
North Pole breakfast
Why not start the day with an extra special North Pole breakfast to get everyone in a Christmassy mood from the get-go? Give everything a real Christmas theme from the food and drinks to the décor. Hunt down some Christmas plates and candy cane straws, get yourself some Christmas confetti and go to town on decorating the table. It’s totally up to you what you go with, make it as sugar-filled as you wish! Pancakes and waffles are always a hit, especially served with strawberries made to look like Santa hats. To finish, dust everything with icing sugar and you have a truly magical snowy breakfast!
Christmas Eve box
Give the kids a brilliant pre-Christmas treat and put together a little Christmas Eve box. Fill it with some lovely festive treats, from hot chocolate and marshmallows to a new Christmas book or even matching family PJs… anything goes! Christmas crafts
How about getting everyone together and starting a new Christmas tradition? Try baking Christmas cookies or making your own decorations, you can pull out all of the stops and go crazy with the glitter, or keep it simple and cut out some snowflakes to hang around the house. The choice is yours!
Christmas day out
Once the breakfast and crafts are done, grab your coats, wrap up warm and head out to the UK’s most festive venue! There’s loads of real snow and fun times to be had for all ages at the SnowDome.
Families will love Santa’s Winter Wonderland, a truly magical experience playing in real snow, whizzing down slides on inflatable tubes and enjoying exploring Santa’s Christmas snow trail… then, you come in from the cold for a fun-packed show featuring the big man himself! Finally, explore Santa’s Christmas village where you’ll meet his real, furry friends, have a sneak peek inside his house and enjoy a ride on the traditional children's carousel, not to mention the countless family photo opportunities (that’s next years Christmas cards sorted!).
To top the day off, enjoy a tasty festive drink and yummy treat from Starbucks, or warm yourself up with a mulled wine in the comfort of the Aspen Food Company. All whilst enjoying views of the real snow slope.
Christmas movie
Finally, end the day snuggled up together under a warm blanket with a festive movie… there are loads to choose from! Our personal favourite is Miracle on 34th Street.
